Summary/Abstract: The main objective of this paper is to identify the way, flows of immigrants influence different macroeconomic variables and implicit performance indicators of the banking system. The analysis was done on a number of 10 representative countries in terms of the size of the migration phenomenon for the period 2005-2015, using an econometric panel data model. The results of the study show that the number of immigrants has considerable effects on macroeconomic variables and on bank performance.
