Summary/Abstract: The main aim of this paper is to identify how the flow of immigrants influences different macroeconomic variables, and, implicitly, the performance indicators of the banking system. The analysis was performed on a number of 10 representative countries from the perspective of the size of the migration phenomenon, for the period 2005 - 2015, by using a panel data type econometric model. The results of the study show that the number of immigrants shows considerable effects on macroeconomic variables and on banking performance.
