Analysis of dream interpretation on the subjective level

Summary/Abstract: The thesis introduces two basic approaches to interpretation and working with dreams: interpretation of a dream on both objective and subjective levels. Interpretation of a dream on the objective level suggests, that a dream in symbolic forms of animals or unknown characters depicts those people who are close to the dreamer in the real life. Interpretation of a dream on the subjective level suggests, that elements in the dream, including animals or unknown characters, reflects the dreamer himself. The thesis focuses specifically on the interpretation of dreams at the subjective level, it defines the main representatives of this approach and outlines the basic background of this approach. In conclusion, the author presents a discussion where, by comparing the current knowledge in the dreaming theory, he considers the relevance of the dream interpretation at the subjective level and supports his theoretical views.
