Summary/Abstract: The usage of metaphors in economic discourse presents some concrete benefits for the receiver of the message. In the present paper I plan to demonstrate with corpus samples that conceptual metaphors play a major cognitive role in that they facilitate interpretation and contribute to the effective management of the information-processing tasks
