Summary/Abstract: The paper proposes, at first, a classification schema for the existing theoretical approaches and models of the deductive reasoning processes, offering a synthetic view over the state of the art in the deductive reasoning research. In a second step, based on such a synthetic view, the main problematic points and the current impasse in this domain of the cognitive psychology were outlined, and new promising future research direction were identified. A particular attention was given to the emergent dynamic approach of the deductive reasoning, and to its comparison with the symbolic approach that still dominates the scientific literature dedicated to the deductive reasoning topic, in spite of its apparent faults. Finally, the main ideas of this dynamic approach of the deductive processes are refined from several pioneering research works and brought together, aiming to elaborate an inspiring overview regarding its potential explicative power.
