Summary/Abstract: Along with the development of a knowledge society it’s crucial to create, for all individuals regardless of their origin, age, sex, (dis)ability, conditions for acquiring competence perceived as the key one in their development and taking roles in society. The article presents examples of international cooperation within the frames of building communicative competence of special school students. The attempt to describe and analyze the competence will enable to present inspiring value of the undertaking activities. It may also constitute an incentive to further exchange of experience in this area.
