Summary/Abstract: For the last couple of years the number of children attended with early development support process has been increasing. The important determinants of this process are undoubtedly: appropriate organization, professionalism of specialists and, above all, cooperation between specialists and the child’s family. The authors of this article seek to present not only theoretical, organizational and legal basis for early development support but also results of their own research on the specialists’ and parents’ perception of the process, mutual expectations, opinions on offered forms of support as well as cooperation between parents and specialists within the frames of the early development support process.
