Summary/Abstract: The first part of the article describes organizational and functional solutions related to social prevention. Another important issue was the program of a specialist course in social prevention under which police officers are prepared for the professional implementation of preventive tasks. The last part concerns the evaluation of a specialist course in the field of social prevention. At the end a few reflections on the subject were presented.
