Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to analyze the stage performance of the famous Ukrainian dancer Oleg Stalinsky, associated with years of work on the stage of the Kyiv State Opera and Ballet Theater; coverage of artist's contacts with leading Soviet choreographers from 1920-1940. The urgency of scientific research is determined by the need for a thorough study of the experience of Ukrainian ballet dancers of the Soviet era from the perspective of modern art studies to form an unbiased assessment of their creativity. The methodology of the study involves the use of such culturological research methods as general historical, comparative-historical, analytical, and biographical. The scientific novelty of the publication is to clarify the importance of the achievements of O. Stalinsky for the development of male ballet performances of the first half of the twentieth century.
