Summary/Abstract: Today, in the age of post-accession mobility, when many Polish families experience separation of its members outlined by migration, the situation of families and children operating in them is changing. In numerous scientific publications devoted to this phenomenon, educators and psychologists’ attention is mainly focused on parenting difficulties manifested by this group of children, their failures in learning or emotions that accompany them after the departure of parents, while the works presenting this group of children’s relationships with peers are few. Therefore, one of the objectives pursued by the conducted research was to answer the question: what is the behavior of children from single-parent families in relation to their peers, due to temporary migration of their parents? The study involved 187 middle school students whose parents (one or both) were on gainful migration and 87 teachers - educators and 13 school counselors.
