Summary/Abstract: The article emphasises a particular category of Roman ceramics, namely the kantharos type vessels, which imitate in form and typology the metal glasses of Greek origin. The piece is an exception in the glazed ceramics from Dacia as a way of execution. The handles have the wide and framed end of two rosettes, the middle being also decorated with a rosette. The handles overlap the long, arched trifid wedges adapted to the high neck of the cantharus. The middle part of the bitronconic body is decorated with two rows of scales (pine cone) applied in the bubble technique, and the upper part with excisions arranged obliquely. The slightly arched neck is adorned with large, parallel, vertically arranged excisions. The slightly flared lip is ornamented on the edge with scales made in the horizontal arranged barbotine technique. Pieces of this kind are attributed to the micro-Asian center from Tarsus.
