Summary/Abstract: The author examines present yugoslav marriages according to professional and educational status of marital pertners. Both homogamy and heterogamy come under the influence of demographic factors corresponding to getting merried. lower level of women's activities, different professional structure of the married couples and different grade and type of schooling impose necessarily certain degree of heteronomy.
