Summary/Abstract: The essence of strategic controlling was presented. Basic concepts of controlling, tasks belonging to them and the instruments for implementing these tasks were specified. Existing performance measurement systems were characterized, emphasizing in particular the term of organization’s performance measurement system and characteristics of such selected systems. The scope and conditions of use of performance measurement systems in strategic controlling were pointed.
