Summary/Abstract: The collection of archive materials concerning the creation of the Opole voivodeship administrative and party authorities in 1950 consists of fragments of documents from the network of PZPR voivodeship committees in Katowice, Opole and Wrocław and also records from the Presidium of the Voivodeship National Council in Opole. The records of these groups are in the state archives in Katowice, Opole and Wrocław. Investigation of source texts includes, amongst other activities, biographies of the most important people referred to in the documents whose notes were in the main prepared on the basis of personnel files of PZPR voivodeship committee in Opole and the Directory of Party and State Leadership Positions in PRL. The latter is accessible on the website of the Public Information Bulletin of the Institute of National Remembrance.
