Summary/Abstract: Reading represents a sine-qua-non activity in our effort to acquire knowledge, develop skills, and putting our experience at work with one main goal – to be the best in our profession. The outcome of our efforts can be judged in terms of our professional success: what job do we dare to apply for, what company do we choose as a future place of work, what position in the company we target, etc. Striving to perform difficult teaching/learning tasks, we tend to forget the obvious – reading is at the basis of almost every teaching/learning activity. Thus, a more careful and caring approach to reading is necessary. The present study is structured into three main areas: some necessary theoretical observations, a questionnaire addressed to a sample of students at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration with respect to their reading attitude/habits/strategies, and a discussion on improving reading skills.
