Summary/Abstract: The paper attempts to describe utopia – the perfect world, the way it appears in literature, from a multi-faceted perspective. Utopian fiction, and as a preliminary stage, utopian didacticism, provide an adequate frame and efficient tools to project this universe of plenitude in a world parallel to and in continuous relation with reality. The area of the topic is almost unlimited and the bibliographical resources are more than generous. Since I am well aware of this literary world’s overwhelming vastness, I would like to emphasize that my paper represents a mere attempt to frame a comprehensive profile of literary utopia and its identifiers.
