Summary/Abstract: The present study is dedicated to the multiple facets love has known in Sibiu villages in traditional and contemporary culture. In this sense, there is a double approach: on the one hand, it deals with the lovers` relationship, the couple status, the couple-society relations, conceptions about wedding and the chosen one etc.; on the other hand, there is a chronological point of view regarding the changes happened in inside-couple relationships, in couple-parents relations, in wedding traditions etc. Considering these approaches, the study exemplifies with testimonies different chronological facets of love. These testimonies regard the last fifty years and have been gathered in the field research carried out during 2009 – 2012 in Sibiu county.
