Summary/Abstract: The study deals with the relation established between intangible heritage and global, online media. This brings up the question whether official websites, content-sharing websites and social networks are media of safeguarding intangible heritage or means of promoting it? Content-sharing websites and social networks are not scientifically-constituted archives, but their importance is continuously growing today, as they ensure non-formal education and communication of intangible heritage to large and heterogeneous audiences. Considering these aspects, the paper analyses aspects of computer-mediated communication inside the project “Travelling through the Land of Wine”; here, a multimedia online exhibition reflects the results of scientific researches dealing with the importance of viticulture inside the intangible heritage from Tarnava Valley, while posting and uploading on Facebook and YouTube is meant to ensure the promotion of researched intangible heritage to wide audiences.
