Summary/Abstract: In the concept of sustainable development attention should be paid to rural areas. In the Poland 90% of the areas are rural areas and because of it, those areas have significant impast on the whole environmental condition of our country. Aim of this paper is presents coupe of selected environmental determinants of the rural areas in the West Pomerania. The article used analysis of available data from Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Central Statistical Office of Poland, as the research method and literature from subject of study.
