Readiness for change of the social workers

Summary/Abstract: The essence of the social worker’s profession is in the fact that the social work that the employee performs, both in the theoretical and practical dimensions, refers to the social functioning of the individual, the group and the social environment. A social worker focuses his attention primarily on social functioning, which appears to him as the primary goal of social work. The aim of the article is to present preliminary remarks and results of research carried out by the Readiness for Change Questionnaire among 80 social workers and presenting them in seven subscales. Change is an inseparable element of life. The social worker’s profession includes changes and unpredictability.
