Summary/Abstract: In 2018, it is the 60th anniversary of the founding of the tirocinium pastoral in the Redemptorist Province of Warsaw. This institution has been educating missionaries and retreat-makers for many years. Polish Redemptorists, from Belarus and Ukraine belonging to the Polish province, as well as from other units of the Latin Rite from Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Greek Catholics from Ukraine or Slovakia are educating in it. Earlier, for years, Redemptorists had been formed and prepared for missionary work in the institution of the second novitiate, which was ordered by religious legislation. This law has been in force from the Chapter in 1764 until the Extraordinary Chapter, which took place in 1967–1969. On the Polish ground, the second novitiate was initiated by the God’s servant Fr Bernard Łubieński. Formation for future missionaries took place in the years 1912–1962 with small breaks. In 1958, an institute called tirocinium pastoral was established. Initially, it had an inter-religious character and was preparing priests for pastoral ministry. Redemptorists also had a mission course that was in the spirit and charisma of the Congregation. From 1963, the tirocinium pastoral was an institute preparing for the mission and retreat work only members of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer.
