The state of standard Albanian language used in inscriptions and registers of Albanian classes in secondary schools in Skopje

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research paper is to point out the actual state of Standard Albanian Language in these educational institutions. Apart from this, teachers' language will be a part of our research. It is strange, but we have noticed that a great number of teachers possess a very low level of the language norm. When they write their lesson in class registers they often brake the spelling norms of Albanian language. We can find the following linguistic slippages: *Matematik (Maths) a subject name in stead of Matematikë,*Artë figurativ in stead of: Art figurativ; *Artë muzikor and *Art muzikorë in stead of: Art muzikor; *festa shtetërore: “Dita e drunit” in stead of: Festë shtetërore: “Dita e drurit”; *“Përfundimë i gjysëmvjetori të parë” in stead of: “Përfundimi i gjysmëvjetorit të parë”. In number of various pronouncements made by teachers, we have the following examples of linguistic slippages: *Sot ne garat Shteterore, ne kategorine per solo kendim, nxenesit e mi I.V. u shperblye me qmim special (100 pike) dhe Arta Jashari me qmim te II - te. Ju falemderit qe me bet krenare; in stead of: Sot në garat shtetërore, në kategorinë e këndimit solo (ose edhe solo këndimit), nxënësit e mi morën shpërblime, edhe atë: I.V. u shpërblye me çmimin special (me 100 pikë) dhe A.J. me çmimin II. Ju faleminderit që më bëtë të ndjehem krenarë.
