Summary/Abstract: In their pastoral service the hierarchs of the Greek Catholic Church found it very importantto explain the meaning of holy sacraments. They stressed their role in Christian life. However, therewas a significant difference between the teachings of bishop Khomyshyn and archbishop Sheptytsky. Khomyshyn focused on theological aspects, while Sheptytsky mixed theology with politics.
