MEASUREMENT OF LOGISTIC PROCESSES IN A FUEL SECTOR ENTERPRISE

Summary/Abstract: Performance measurement systems are designed to provide the company management with relevant, critical information related to the most important aspects of its operation. Their main task is to support the decision-making process of the company. The aim of the article is to present the essence of measuring the accomplishments of logistic processes in an enterprise whose core business is retail and wholesale sales of liquid fuels. The stages of measurement of achievements in a fuel company were presented and the possibilities of constructing meters for particular subsystems appearing in the analyzed entity were presented. The research issues and goals set determined the choice of research methods, such as: literature review, induction, analysis of internal materials of the selected company and in-depth interview. The subject of research is a company from the fuel sector, conducting distribution activities of oil-derived fuels in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.
