Analysis of generic costs of companies from the petroleum sector

Summary/Abstract: Cost analysis is to provide an economic unit with information that is necessary for the recognition and evaluation of costs, determination of possibility of lowering and developing the ways to increase the effectiveness of management. The paper’s findings were presented to the author in cooperation with the company from the petroleum sector. The analysis of generic costs, especially in terms of their dynamics, structure and variation, forms the basis for a comprehensive assessment of the pre-enterprise activities. The aim of the paper is to present and analyze the generic costs of activity of a company from the petroleum sector in the Subcarpathian region. The research problems determined the choice of research methods, such as: a critical review of literature, the analysis of internal materials of selected company and in-depth interview.
