Summary/Abstract: Directions of logistics theory implementation at the macro level is researched. The theoretical definitions development of logistics system and logistics security of the country in the context of national security is updated. The natural gas market in Ukraine, as an example, presents a way to identify logistical problems and justified mechanisms to solve them on the modern logistics concept. The differentiated approach for setting standards of mandatory natural gas reserves considering their functional structure is proposed. That allows to optimize the public policy of strategic reserves of natural gas and to increase its reversibility. The utmost importance of macro logistics for the formation of national security (military, energy, food, logistics, etc.) is generalized. That makes it possible to attribute these principles to new logistics paradigms.
