Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the nature and characteristics of import substitution policy in the pharmaceutical market. It displays advantages and disadvantages of implementation of import substitution. The foreign experience of state regulation of the pharmaceutical industry is analyzed in the application of the policy of import substitution. It shows integration process of public procurement of medicines on the basis of all models of interaction, in which the state acts as the provider and the recipient of products / services. The application of advanced information and advanced marketing and logistics technologies in supporting this process is identified.
