Summary/Abstract: The aim of these considerations is to examine the relationship between the conditions of macro environment and the innovativeness of Polish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Macro environment is described by a factors assigned to six groups of conditions: economic, political and legal, socio-cultural and demographic, international, technical and geographical. Innovativeness was identified as the introduction of product, process, organizational and marketing innovations. The research was carried out on a representative sample of 250 SMEs. Verification of the hypotheses was made by correlation analyzes. The results indicate the existence of a positive, but weak, dependence between technical conditions and innovativeness of SMEs.
