Changes in methods for assessing the quality of transport in urban network in Warsaw – weaknesses, vehicle technical condition, infrastructure and employees

Summary/Abstract: The article presents past and contemporary methods of assessing the quality of transport in urban public transport system from the point of view of its organizer. It was presented how the approach to the quality of services in the urban transportation in Warsaw has evolved. It was shown how this approach changed and how it affected the cooperation of the Local Authorities with the Carriers. Above all, it defines what goals the Local Authorities plans to achieve by introducing changes in the method of assessing the quality of transport and what effect this will have on the reception of quality of public transport by Passengers thanks to the implementation of an innovative solution in the latest contracts. An initial assessment of the introduced changes has been made.
