Crowdfunding for innovations within medical clusters

Summary/Abstract: The article comprises four parts which characterize multi-faceted nature of the market of medical services, activity of medical clusters, strategic dimension of crowdfunding, and its using within innovative process of medical clusters. Scientific considerations have been conducted on management sciences area on the basis of literature review and desk research. Taking into consideration holistic approach towards contemporary medicine as a science of health, illnesses, and human treatment, it has been proven that the concept of medical cluster is very broad and concerns clusters of health resort and medical tourism. One of the key strategic objectives of medical clusters is the development of innovative medicines, ways of treatment and diagnosis. Their advanced R&D works influencing medicine development, requires diversified funding sources among others based commercial and/or noncommercial (philanthropic) crowdfunding.
