Summary/Abstract: Using the new results of social sciences we can describe in a new way the public life of diff erentages. It is recommended to consider the role of consumer (receiver) of the medias. This article isan experiment comparing aspects of public life in Kádár and Horthy eras, with an emphasis on thediff erences generated by the media products available in those times.
