Summary/Abstract: The beginning of the 21st century has brought about instability in many areas that affects security, business conditions, and social relations. Emerging turbulences are often referred to the idea of multiculturalism. This concept is interpreted and evaluated in a very different way, becoming the focus of many contemporary disputes on different levels (political, social, economic). In international business perspective, multiculturalism, like most phenomena, should be considered in the category of opportunities and threats to the development of the company. Cultural diversity is not to be feared, but to know it, to achieve better results. These activities are undertaken in order to know and understand cultural differences, such as cultural trainings or psychic distances to foreign countries. It should also be noted that in the context of political and social incidents that have been observed in recent years (the influx of refugees into Europe, the threat of terrorist attacks), the idea of multiculturalism is being criticized. It seems that it requires a deep correction, especially in its European version, which can also have a significant impact on business operations.
