Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with important aspects of the literature оf the Viennese Modern Age (Wiener Moderne) and the resulting generation’s questions concerning the movement’s ethnical, linguistic, and cultural plurality. The aim is to analyze concepts such as modernist literature, Young Vienna, fin de siecle. The positions of Hermann Broch and Stefan Zweig are compared to the literature of the Viennese Modern Age, thus examining this epoch more closely.
