Myth – Forms of Anamnesis through Images and Symbols

Summary/Abstract: The study discusses the fundamental functions of the myth, including the concept of anamnesis and its capacity to recollect - by means of symbolic language - the experiences of the sacred, eternally repeatable. The interdisciplinary connections of the mythical thought with both the instaurative hermeneutics are also made, in the context of the French School of History of Religions, and the reductive hermeneutics, of sociological or psychoanalytic type.
