Cluster governance in shaping cluster economic security

Summary/Abstract: The article consists of three integral parts which present the significance of cluster economic security, the importance of cluster governance in assuring this type of security, and basic standards of cluster management, which directly relate to cluster governance. The article emphasises that heterogeneous and complex nature of economic security and cluster governance as well as various definitions of these terms hinder their measurement and quantification. Cluster governance, stimulating transparent cluster management, contributes to the improvement of cluster economic activity and its positive image. As an instrument of internal and external control of cluster management efficiency it shapes cluster economic security. The analysis of secondary sources has indicated that Polish clusters differ as regards meeting the standards of cluster management within cluster governance.
