Conception of Ritms of Ethnogenesis by L. Gumiljov

Summary/Abstract: Lav N. Gumiljov is Russian ethnographer, historian, geographer, and professor of Faculty of Geography at Leningrad University. He was working on ethno genesis of ancient peoples of Eurasia. That knowledge was useful as basis for elaboration of the cyclic concept of ethno genesis. Ethnic group, such a man as biological being, passing through different stages in the life cycle. In this article author deals with critics about definition of ethnos, factors and phases of ethno genesis.
