Summary/Abstract: Child pornography, which consists of images of sexual abuse on children, and other particularly serious forms of child sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children has grown and spread through the use of new technologies and the Internet. The victims, the perpetrators and the technology form the core of the phenomenon of child pornography that involves, on the one hand, the technological aspect that refers to abusive material involving children, and, on the other hand, the technological means of production, distribution and possession. These vary significantly. There are several types of victims, images and means of production, means of distribution and/or possession of digital images of child abuse. While the material itself is currently available mainly in digital form, the perpetrators and the victimization conditions exist both in the off-line and in the on-line, and as a result, the phenomenon consists of an analog and a digital element.
