Knowledge Management in Institutions on a Regional Level

Summary/Abstract: In the paper an attempt was taken to assess activities taken by institutions on regionallevel aimed at knowledge management on rural areas. Empirical data come fromsurvey research conducted among institutions which main task stemming from legalregulations is transfer of knowledge in rural areas. These institutions concentrated mainlyon broadening the knowledge of rural inhabitants about the possibilities of availingthemselves of the support by the EU funding, including the perspectives of support overthe period of 2007–2013 for the non-agricultural business activities, improving of productionquality, implementing of innovations, observance of the environment protectionrules.
