Innovative activity of enterprises in the conditions of EU integration

Summary/Abstract: Enterprises’ activity in the range of taking and realizing innovative changes is of crucial importance in building competitive advantage. In this context the aim of this paper is to assess the activity of enterprises as far as the implementation of innovations after entering EU is concerned. The research findings prove that the highest number of innovative companies and expenditures on innovative actions in a scale of a country were in Małopolska and Pogórze as well as Mazowsze and Podlasie. Enterprises functioning there have accomplished mainly product and process innovations.
