Summary/Abstract: The study presents the correspondence changed by Countess van Souchtelen with Prince Alexander D: Ghica; During the Italian Revolution of 1848-49. The countess was the wife of a Russian general who had come to Wallachia during the Russo-Turkish war of 1828-1829. She had known the spathar Alexander D. Ghica at the ball in Bucharest; Before he ascended the throne of Wallachia. It was the beginning of a great love that will last all their lives. The Countess did not succeed in obtaining divorce in Russia, although the Prince asked for the help of the Russian consuls, so she took her three children and went to Italy, settling in Naples
