Summary/Abstract: In the collections of the National Historical Archives, among the letters and documents of the Ghika princely family there is an anonymous Italian travel journal of 1838. Careful reading revealed the name of the author, former Russian colonel Vladimir Blaremberg, founder of the Romanian branch of Blaremberg. According to the tradition of this former Dutch family (called van Blarembergue there) as a result of religious persecution, their ancestors left for France towards the end of the 17th century. During the reign of Louis XVI, the sons of Louis-Nicolas van Blarenbergue (the writing adopted) were noted as landscape painters and miniaturists, whose consideration of connoisseurs was granted to them. Jean-François Blarembergue at the Court of King Louis XVI, as a teacher of the Children of France, as well as the children of Madame Elisabeth. But it was the eldest son of Louis Nicolas, Paul de Blarembergue, who created the Russian branch. The son of Paul, Johann (Jean), captain in the army of the Netherlands, then of England settled in Russia in 1797
