Implications of resource dependence theory in researching relations

Summary/Abstract: Inter-organizational relationships are in the mainstream of research in the field of inter alia strategic management and marketing, as well as in many other specific disciplines. Research often exposes access to resources’ rationality. It has been directed consideration towards the resource dependence theory, in order to explore the potential of this theory in the study of relationships. As a result of conducted analysis it has been allowed to conclude that, in particular, the recognition of the problems of inter-organizational relationships in epistemology of resource dependence theory provides opportunities to extent this theory in regard to the low power organizations, and thus to eliminate the asymmetry of power between entities in the population.
