Summary/Abstract: The article presents the most important cognitive perspective used in the analysis of interorganizational networks. These are: theories of transaction costs, flexibility in management theories, theories of complexity management, theories of organizational boundaries and relational theories of resources. These theories may provide a basis for discussion about the need for changing the paradigm of management science. A lot of management specialists convince that the problem exists. This results from the eternal direction of scientific innovations which is in management - from practice to theory. Networks have become popular enough in practice so that existing instruments are not sufficient to explain and understand them fully.
