WORDS OF ORIENTAL ORIGIN IN THE MONTENEGRIN LANGUAGE WITH A VIEW OF NJEGOŠ'S LANGUAGE

Summary/Abstract: The author gives an overview of the use of words of Oriental origin in the Montenegrin language, with a special emphasis on the language of the most prominent classical Montenegrin poet, Petar II Petrović Njegoš. As an important part of the lexicon of the Montenegrin language, words of Oriental origin are quite common in Njegoš’s works, which is why the author attempts to classify this lexicon.
