Summary/Abstract: The author of this work points out the most important accentic features of the old-Podgorican speech as an integral part of the Southeast group of Montenegrian speeches, especially those features by which an old- Podgorican speech distinguishes from surronding Montenegrian speaches. During research the oldest typical speech representatives from this town and diaspora in Skadar were used, and the system is discribed on the bases of The Questionaire for Examining the Accent in Stokavian Speeches written by Berislav M. Nikolić. The speech that is being discussed about has two falling accents: the long one and the short one. The long-falling accent can be placed on any syllable in a word, and the short-falling can be placed on any syllable except the last open one (except for the rare cases of enclisis and in twosyllabic personal names).
