Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the elaboration is an attempt at presenting an innovative approach to an agrotourism product. The analysis is based on data collected from an agro- -ecotouristic farm located in the region of Podlasie. Herbal agro-ecotourism is recognized as an important productive and service enterprise with a consistently high employment rate. The situation is conductive to a coordinated development of the region. It also provides the opportunity) for local farms to develop and cooperate with each other. The educational purpose of agro-tourism is also defined, showing that – thanks to an immediate contact with natural environment and country life – a tourist is able to verify his/her theoretical knowledge acquired from books and television.
