The Development of Agritourism in Poland in the Decade its Membership in the European Union in the Contex of Agritourism Services Support from EU Funds

Summary/Abstract: The article describes the types of support tourism and recreation projects and agritourism in rural areas in Poland, with various activities and programs of the European Union. The support for rural tourism and agritourism from structural funds from the years 2004–2006, and from the Rural Development Programmes for the period 2007–2013 was characterized, too. The results of research conducted in the communities of two counties: Limanowa and Nowy Targ with employees of its municipal offices responsible for the promotion of the region and tourism development were presented. These studies focused on forms of support agritourism and rural tourism infrastructure from EU funds.
