Summary/Abstract: The author refers to the problem of rationality of subjects of social economics in context of the orthodox economics. She argues that the way we understand a problem of economic choice makes it very difficult to treat social entrepreneurship as rational activity. More fruitful seems to be to refer to James Buchanan institutional theory, which supplies convictive arguments on rational dimension of social economics.
