THE USE OF SELECTED METHODS OF ORDERING OBJECTS FOR CLASSIFICATION OF VOIVODSHIPS IN TERMS OF THEIR INNOVATIVE POTENTIAL

Summary/Abstract: Defining and identifying determinants of the innovative potential of the region is difficult. Despite this, it is one of the determining factors in terms of the development of the region and its competitive position. Even more than the availability of data, relevant in this context becomes the problem of the selection of the classification procedure. The main objective of this paper is to group voivodships in terms of their innovation potential through the use of different methods of ordering. In the paper the classification of regions highlighting the changes between the results taking into account the different forms of ordering.
