Summary/Abstract: The subject of this article is the lexis from the three texts connected with one of the most popular comedies in PRL – movie Sami swoi. Film dialogues, text of the radio play I było święto from 1965 and novel Sami swoi published in 1993 were taken into account. Five classes of lexemes functioning as exponents of stylization were indicated in the texts written by Andrzej Mularczyk, namely lexis from Kresy, lexis typical to all dialects, colloquial and vulgar lexis, non-dialectal lexis describing rural realities, non-dialectal lexis referring to realities in Kresy. The analysis showed that the largest amount of exponents of language stylization was used in the newest text – book, and the lowest amount – in the radio play. The class of non-dialectal lexis describing rural realities was the most numerously represented class in the three texts. But from the perspective of differential lexis the most numerous was colloquial and vernacular lexis. Nevertheless, in the dialogues representing the language of Poles disrooted from Kresy the least represented class was lexis typical to Kresy. More often, but still not frequent enough was lexis typical to all dialects.
